About me

I am a great fan of those ads which in some absurd way advertise products by means of sex. A well-shaven woman soaking up the hot sun and a deplumed chicken devoid of its head being roasted on a grill in a metal box – extraordinary! A top-less girl advertising roast chicken – that is a postcard I would send to other civilisations.

The variety of contexts for sex a human mind is capable of producing inspires me greatly as an artist. I am attracted to kitsch, asses and boobs. Great is my delight as I walk down the supermarket aisles and spot the very same products on shelves. I take in the atmosphere of these cleverly designed shops, where everything aims at appealing to my senses and stimulating my desires. I construct my pictures on the basis of that perfect plastic ad reality which I combine with my private imperfect experience of the ordinary and thereby give life to new contexts. I do not document any of these and I am not judgemental; I remain in between this bipolar cyclone, observing.
